Bach-Journey,
The Bach Journey continues,
while, hopefully, you're all safe and well at home. After much consideration of
different options I've decided against an attempt to live-stream. I think that
recording the session and illustrating playing and comments with the marked
score and other illustrations makes for a more lively and interesting
presentation than watching someone play and talk during a live-stream with
mediocre sound quality at best. Everybody will be watching the video at
different times, but as we watch, we'll all be together in spirit. The video
actually comes closer to what we do when we meet at Ethical to explore the
pieces.
I have slightly adapted the
format to the different medium. There’s a separate recording for each piece,
and each recording is between 10 and 15 minutes playing time.

Liebe Reisegefährten auf der Hör-Reise durch den 1. Band von J.S.
Bach’s Wohltemperiertem Klavier,
Die Hör-Reise geht weiter, während Ihr alle hoffentlich gesund und
wohlbehalten zu Hause seid. Nach einigem Überlegen und Abwägen verschiedener
Möglichkeiten habe ich mich gegen Live-Streaming von zu Hause entschieden. Eine Aufnahme der “Führung” durch die Stücke
mit kommentiertem Notentext und zusätzlichen Bildern und Illustrationen ist
ansprechender, als jemandem beim Spielen und Erklären zuzusehen, noch dazu bei
bestenfalls bescheidener Tonqualität.
Die Videos kommen den live- Vorträgen letztlich näher. Wir werden sie zu unterschiedlichen
Zeiten ansehen, aber beim Ansehen im Geiste zusammen sein.
Ich habe das Format der Vorträge leicht geändert. Für jedes der vier
Stücke gibt es ein separates Video, Spieldauer zwischen 10 und 15 Minuten. Die
Erklärungen sind in englischer Sprache.
